Raiders Cut 18 Players

The Raiders have cut several well-known players. Longtime WR Phillip Dorsett, a 2015 first-round pick of the Colts, is no longer in Las Vegas. LB Jaylon Smith, a former Cowboy and 2019 Pro Bowler, was also let go. Other well-known receivers cut by the Raiders include Collin Johnson and Marquez Callaway.

Every year, there are a few surprises, and this year is no exception. Here are the five biggest surprises this year:

  1. Aidan O’Connell Makes It
  2. Tommy Mellott Gets Cut
  3. 10 offensive Linemen
  4. Leki Fotu Makes It
  5. Sincere McCormick Let Go

10 offensive Linemen

The Raiders are keeping 10 OLs this season, more than most teams. The surprise roster spot goes to Will Putnam, a 2024 undrafted free agent, who will serve as backup center behind Jordan Meredith. Jackson Powers-Johnson’s move from center to guard suggests the staff doesn’t fully trust him at center, while Dylan Parham and Alex Cappa provide additional depth. Putnam’s exact role remains a key question.
