Belinelli was drafted 18th overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 2007 NBA Draft. On July 13, 2007, he signed a two-year $2.79 million contract with the Dubs. On October 30, 2008, the Warriors exercised a $1.54 million option for the 2009-2010 season. He was traded to the Toronto Raptors on July 29, 2009, and two months later, the Raptors exercised the $2.38 million option for the 2010-2011 season.
Belinelli signed a two-year $5.6 million contract with the San Antonio Spurs in 2013 and went on to win his first NBA title with them in 2014. He then signed a massive $19 million contract with the Sacramento Kings on July 13, 2015, with $6.33 million average annual salary. Belinelli returned to San Antonio on July 20, 2018, inking a $12 million deal with $6 million average annual salary and the whole amount guaranteed.
