Rumors are swirling that Taylor Swift could headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell playfully hinted at the possibility during an appearance on the Today show. With a new album on the way and massive fan anticipation, speculation is growing that the NFL may deliver one of its most unforgettable halftime performances yet.

Is Taylor Swift Set to Take the Stage at Super Bowl 60?

The NFL may be gearing up for one of the most memorable halftime shows in history. During a Wednesday interview on NBC’s Today, Commissioner Goodell hinted that superstar Swift could take the stage at Super Bowl 60, set for Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Goodell kept his comments playful but suggestive. “We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time,” he said. When asked directly if Swift is lined up for the halftime show, he teased, “Maybe.”

Swift’s potential appearance comes after a blockbuster year. The pop icon recently announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, capturing headlines across sports and entertainment. She is also preparing to release her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on Oct. 3.

Between a high-profile engagement, a new album, and her global influence, a halftime performance would feel like the next logical step. Swift has been a regular presence at Chiefs games since revealing her relationship with Kelce in 2023, attending their games, including their Super Bowl runs over the past two years. Now, the world’s biggest sporting stage could be set for her to make a historic appearance.

When co-host Craig Melvin asked Goodell when fans might get a final answer on the performer, the commissioner joked, “I’m waiting on my friend Jay-Z to be able to help me with that one.” Roc Nation, Jay-Z’s company, produces the halftime show. “It’s in his hands. I’m waiting for the smoke to come out,” Goodell added.
