After a year, on August 1, 2010, Wilson gave a huge surprise when he steered a blindfolded Meem into the Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, N.C., and up to the Presidential Suite, where her parents were present to celebrate their precious moment.
Wilson then got on one knee and proposed to Meem with an 8-carat diamond ring.
After two years of being happily engaged, they got married on January 14, 2012, the same year Wilson was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2012 NFL draft.
The wedding was a grand celebration, attended by over 300 guests at the elegant Country Club of Virginia in Richmond, where they grew up and first met each other.
