Malachi Toney shares a familiar last name with NFL player Kadarius. However, there is no known relationship between Kadarius Toney and the Miami freshman. Malachi’s father is Antonio Brown, a former NFL player. He played for West Virginia and later spent three seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and the Washington Redskins.

Kadarius, on the other hand, was born on January 27, 1999, in Mobile, Alabama, as the youngest of seven to a Navy veteran and postal worker father, Dana, and a mother, Angela, who worked at Huntington Ingalls. He attended Blount High School in Eight Mile, Alabama. Kadarius was a three-star recruit coming out of high shcool and received scholarship from various universities including Gerogia Tech, Alabama, Florida and South Carolina. He ultimately chose to play for the Gators.

Malachi on the other hand went to American Heritage School in Miami where won Nat Moore Trophy for being the best wideout in high school football. Four-star prospect coming out of the high school Malachi during an interview thanked his family for his success especially his mother and aunt Reba.

He also said his aunt Reba passed away from cancer and wants to fulfil his NFL dream for her saying, “So for her I gotta fulfill my destiny. There is no other plan, no other option,” Toney said.

While long way from his making his NFL dreams a reality, he’s already trending toward it. Now that he’s made big in college football, Toney does not shy away from showering his family members with expesive gifts.
