Stephen A. Smith may have gotten more than he bargained for during a recent episode of his YouTube show. The ESPN star welcomed his daughter, Samantha, on the ‘Stephen A. Smith’ show this week—and it seems he immediately regretted the decision.
Throughout the episode, Samantha, who previously went viral for her rare TV appearance with her father during the NBA Finals, playfully roasted the sports analyst, even taking a hilarious jab at his forehead.
Stephen A Smith’s Daughter Samantha Smith Reveals Her ‘Huge Crush’
While basketball fans are accustomed to seeing Stephen A. Smith on their screens, Thursday night offered a rare glimpse of another member of the Smith family. The analyst was on the floor of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, performing his ESPN duties alongside Elle Duncan during Game 6 of the NBA Finals, when his daughter unexpectedly stole the spotlight.
Samantha, Smith’s daughter, quickly became the center of attention—and tested her father’s patience. At one point, Smith appeared visibly rattled, repeatedly rolling his eyes at her playful antics.
When a viewer asked about Lakers superstar LeBron James, Samantha revealed that she once had a crush on one of the NBA legend’s sons.
“I remember Bryce James—he’s a great player—but there’s Bronny too. I used to have the biggest crush on Bryce James about a year ago, so it was really awkward when there was a lot of beef,” she said, leaving her father momentarily speechless.
“What?” an exasperated Smith asked. Samantha, jokingly grimacing at the camera, quickly added, “I’m joking.”
“You’d better be,” Smith replied, referencing the heated courtside exchange he famously had with LeBron earlier this year.
