A 24-year-old rising softball player, Maya Brady, made a strong professional debut for the Talons on July 16, 2025, after recovering from a hamstring injury that had sidelined her for the first 18 games.
Former UCLA Bruin is not only known for her outstanding playing ability but also for her high-profile connections, including Tom Brady and Kevin Youkilis.
Maya is the daughter of Maureen Brady, an All-American pitcher at Fresno State and the older sister of Tom Brady.
Growing up in an athletic family, Maya first credits her mother, whom she considers her biggest role model, as she revealed in a recent Hurrdat Sports interview,
“My Mom is probably my biggest role model. Honestly, My mom is somebody I look to, for guidance and for opinion somebody that just inspired me.”

Maya was drafted in the fifth round, 19th overall, by the Talons in this year’s inaugural Athletes Unlimited Softball League draft and has quickly made a name for herself.
A former UCLA Bruin was named Softball America Freshman of the Year and earned honors as a middle infielder who led Oaks Christian to 3 Marmonte League titles and was a two-time league MVP, showing the talent that has carried her to the professional stage.
Being Recognised For Her Connection to Famous Public Figures is Beneficial For Maya
During a recent interview, Maya was asked what it is like to have all that athletic ability and talent, and the family get-together might be pretty fun, as she has other athletic family members.
She proudly replied,
“Yeah, it makes very intense family holidays, family vacations, family games, and it’s just super cool..”
