Welcome to the 8th grade Union Football Program.
 
2010 Parents Letter

It is my contention that football and other sports are a wonderful tool for education. The Union Football Program will be educational and we will strive to reach our intended goal of producing great young men.

We will demand a commitment to excellence and to winning, not only in football, but in every endeavor in life. Our players will learn that the challenge of being among the best is a continual pursuit of excellence.

Winning is extremely important but it must be accomplished with integrity, poise, and class. Winning will be accomplished by building good people.

2010 Football Information

 

Welcome to another exciting year of Union football. I am looking forward to working with you to make this a great football season. Following are important dates for your calendar.

Practice Schedule
August 30-September 10
 
Notes:  We will now take a bus to home games!!!
 
Please Note: Due to the class schedules of some players, practices do not always get started as scheduled. Some days we have to go past 400p. Therefore, practices will now be held until 430p. Please adjust your schedules accordingly
 
Monday 8/30: Silver has an OPEN night. No game for Silver!!! 
  • The whole team RED and WHITE will practice in shells until 400p.
  • Please be picked up by 430p.

Tuesday 8/31: Union Red vs Union White, Tuttle Stadium 730p 

  • Red and White will go home on the bus and return to the 8th Grade Center at 530p, the locker room will be open at 530p. The busses will leave the 8th Grade Center at 600p.
  • If you can not go home and make it back to the 8th Center by 530p, a study hall will be provided in Coach Warrior’s classroom Rm. 229 after school. Bring some homework and a snack to eat on. Maybe even some money to buy something to eat. This is a time to rest quietly and do homework. If it is abused, I will ask student athletes and parents to make other arrangements.
  • Red will be the home team, they will wear their Red game jerseys
  • White will be on the visitors side, they will wear White game jerseys
  • The game should be over by 900p, Everyone will bus back over to the 8th Grade Center and drop off equipment and catch their rides. Please be picked up by 945p from the 8th grade center.
Wednesday 9/1: Practice in shells
  • Be Picked up by 430p
Thursday 9/2: Full Pads ( 8th Grade Back to School Night)
  • Be Picked up by 430p
Friday 9/3: Full Pads
  • Be picked up by 430p
Monday 9/6 Labor Day : Union Silver vs Sapulpa Blue, 600p @ Sapulpa High School Stadium 
  • Red and White will practice in shells from 200p-330p
  • Red and White must be picked up by 430p
  • Silver will leave the 8th Grade Center at 430p, the Locker room will be open at 400p
  • Silver shall return to the 8th Grade Center at approx. 800p. Please have rides ready!
  • You can go home with your parents from Sapulpa. Remember to tell your coaches and bus drivers, and remember to bring your equipment back to school the next morning.
Tuesday 9/7: Union RED is OPEN, No Game! 
                         Union White vs Broken Arrow Black, Tuttle Stadium @ 630p
  • Everyone will go home on the bus after 6th hour. The White team only will leave for Tuttle Stadium @ 515p. The locker room will be open at 430p. 
  • Members of the White team will be allowed to stay in study hall if needed
  • Everyone will return to the 8th Grade Center at approx 800p, Have rides ready!
Wednesday 9/8: Practice until 4:30 - Shells
Thursday 9/9: Practice until 4:30 - Full Pads
Friday 9/10: Practice until 4:30 - Full Pads
